Fine Pruning consists of:

  • Removal of dead wood, dying or diseased wood.

  • Pruning of sucker growth.

  • Removal of interfering and objectionable branches as well as selective thinning of broken and crossed over branches.

  • Raising of limbs to help clear height to enhance vigorous lawn growth beneath trees.

  • Shaping of fruit and pine trees where applicable.

  • Removal and disposal of debris.

Make sure you choose an experience arborist when planning the pruning and shaping of trees. A certified arborist knows the proper techniques for determining the angle and position of the correct cuts to a tree. An inexperienced tree trimmer may actually damage the tree when pruning.

Shown here is the effects of decay due to the improper cuts on the trunk of this tree.
